On May 15, bloggers, vloggers, and photobloggers came together to use their respective spaces on the intertubes to get the word out about human rights.
The effort, put together by Bloggers Unite, challenged bloggers worldwide to help elevate human rights awareness by drawing attention to the challenges and successes of human rights issues.
Topics varied widely, from labor issues to the war in Iraq. The Bloggers Unite for Human Rights site has a board with one discussion specifically created for bloggers to share their posts (which as of the writing of this post has 508 replies). Go take a look!
Other campaigns by Bloggers Unite have included organ donor awareness (July 18, 2007), against abuse (September 27, 2007), and for acts of kindness (December 17, 2007).
